The National Housing Trust (NHT) invites qualified mechanical or electrical engineers registered with the Professional Engineering Registration Board (PERB) to submit proposals to provide mechanical and electrical engineering services (pre and post-contract) for its central air conditioning unit at the St. James Branch Office.
LOCATION:
The property is located at 42b and c Union Street, Montego Bay, St. James.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
The successful Consultants will be required to:
- Conduct site reconnaissance
- Prepare specifications for the new air conditioning system
- Provide pre-contract services for the electrical requirements (including electrical assessment and any other technical requirements) for the new air-conditioning system.
- Prepare of pre-tender estimate, tender and contract documents to facilitate the engagement of a supplier for the acquisition and installation of the new air-conditioning system.
- Evaluate bids received and submit the tender evaluation report to the NHT.
- Administer the contract for the supply and installation the new air-conditioning system.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Consultants must provide:
- Evidence of tax compliance
- Evidence that the Mechanical or Electrical Engineer and Firm are registered with the Professional Engineering Registration Board (PERB)

Proposal packages are available for download from the GOJ’s e-procurement website at e-procurement website at https://www.gojep.gov.jm, from Tuesday, June 6, 2023.
RETURN OF TENDERS
Proposals must be submitted online on or before Monday, July 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Proposals will be opened online via the e-procurement website at https://www.gojep.gov.jm on the same day, immediately following the bid submission deadline.
