The Government of Jamaica (GOJ), by virtue of The Public Procurement (Set Asides) Order 2019 (“the Order”), made pursuant to The Public Procurement Regulations 2018, has set aside 20 per cent of its total annual procurement budget for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs). Through this mechanism, the GOJ will increase the opportunities for eligible and suitably qualified and capable MSMEs to earn government contracts.
The National Housing Trust (NHT) now invites bids from suitably qualified MSMEs only for asphalt pavement works to the driveway/parking area, inclusive of painting of kerb walls and road markings at the Cooreville Gardens Apartment Complex, Strata # 338Kingston 5.
To be eligible, bidders must be:
- Tax Compliant (To be demonstrated by the submission of a valid Tax Compliance Certificate or Letter); and
- Registered with Public Procurement Commission (PPC) in the category of General Road Works with a minimum Grade 4 rating OR Road Maintenance Works with a minimum Grade 3 rating. (To be demonstrated by the submission of a valid Certificate of Registration with the Public Procurement Commission).
CRITERIA FOR DETERMINATION OF ENTERPRISE AS MICRO, SMALL OR MEDIUM:
Only those bids from enterprises that meet the criteria set out in the Order will be considered. The criteria may be found in the bidding documents.

Bid packages are available for download from the GOJ’s e-procurement portal at https://www.gojep.gov.jm, from Tuesday, January 12, 2021.
RETURN OF DOCUMENTS:
Bids must be submitted online on or before 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 2, 2021; opening of bids will be done online via the e-procurement portal at https://www.gojep.gov.jm, immediately following the bid submission deadline.
